There are 2 primary goals of the Purple PAWS program
To provide positive role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
We believe that all of us want the same things for our kids and these values unite us. This program serves to bring communities closer together based on these values-based goals. Ultimately, our purpose is to change the country for the better by doing our small part to provide support to our educators and encouragement to our children.
All positive role models are encouraged to join the Purple PAWS program. How to become a Purple Sage Purple PAWS:
Register as a RRISD Volunteer
Contact Lacey to check your volunteer status. Once that has gone through you can sign up to volunteer.
Sign up for a half day or the full day on Calendly
Arrive at school on your day to volunteer at 7:20 am. A schedule of your day will be waiting in the office for you to start your day.
Purple PAWS have a variety of task while at school. Please be prepared to help in classrooms, have fun at recess, volunteer in classes, read to classes, complete small task for teachers and many other activities.
